Dummy Guy Bookkeeping ("the integration") is a private internal tool operated by Dummy Guy, LLC ("we") for the sole purpose of reading our own accounting records from QuickBooks Online.

Who uses it

One person: the owner of Dummy Guy, LLC. The integration has no other users, no customers, and no public sign-up.

What data it accesses

Accounting data belonging to Dummy Guy, LLC only — profit and loss figures, expense records, vendor names, chart of accounts and transaction detail. It requests the com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting scope and no other. It does not request or access payments, payroll, or cardholder data.

What it stores

The integration does not maintain a database and does not retain QuickBooks data. Records are requested when needed and held only in memory for the duration of a task.

Two things are written to disk, both in owner-only files (permissions 0600) on an encrypted disk controlled by the business owner:

Who it is shared with

No accounting data is sold, published, or shared with any third party for advertising, analytics or any other purpose. There is no third-party analytics, error-reporting or logging service in the integration.

Reports generated for internal review may be read by an AI assistant used by the business owner to prepare bookkeeping and financial analysis, acting solely on the owner's instruction and on the owner's behalf.

Security

Retention and deletion

No accounting data is retained, so there is nothing to delete. The connection can be revoked at any time from within QuickBooks Online, and the stored credential files deleted from the owner's machine, which permanently ends all access.
